Newspapers Endorsing Mitt: "Maybe He Was Lying Earlier"

Slate has a good piece on several newspapers who have endorsed Mitt Romney this year after endorsing then-Senator Obama in his 2008 race against Senator McCain. It's worth a read, but here's the gist: many of the newspapers are endorsing him on the theory that the new moderate Mitt Romney (I believe that's Mitt Romney 6.0) is the real Mitt Romney, and that the ultra-conservative positions he took during the Republican primary were effectively a lie.

Yes, they're endorsing him on the theory that he spent months lying to the American people about his principles. That's real presidential character.
